Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest non-political,
non-sectarian fraternities with some 35,000 members in
Ireland and around 4 million members world-wide.
It is a society concerned with high moral and spiritual
values taught through a series of ancient forms, using the
customs and tools of the stone mason as allegorical guides.
It is open to men of integrity, of any religion,
who believe in a Supreme Being.
Every Freemason is encouraged:
To do his duty to his God (by his own tradition),
To extend and develop his whole persona and phyche,
To show care for the community by giving of his time and talents,
To conform to the laws of the land in which he resides and by which he is protected.
